Dr. Matthew Nicholas Pieters, M.D. is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist at Fraser Eye Care Center. He specializes in Anterior Segment and Cataract Surgery. He treats his patients with the highest quality and the utmost care and compassion.
Dr. Pieters received his undergraduate and medical degrees at top institutions, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Washington University in St. Louis before completing medical school at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He completed his ophthalmology training at one of the highest-ranked residency programs, Wills Eye Hospital, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Pieters is originally from the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, and he is excited to serve patients in the metro Detroit area. In his free time, he enjoys birdwatching, crosswords, and cooking.
